The
Trail
Distance
and trails:
Sanctioned
for 11km.
The
3km Goose Creek Loop is rustic and is a horse trail.
The
trail is a single hard packed dirt ‘deer trail’ with wide grassy
areas on sides that are easily walkable. Some possible wet
areas, but easy to walk around.
The
Sunrise Loop is 8km and has hardwood forests, a prairie
and goes by the remnants of a railroad that was never completed.
One sizable hill in this area.
Both
loops return along the St. Croix River.
Strollers
can use both loops.

State
Park Vehicle Permit
A
state park vehicle permit is required when you enter any state
park. Daily permits cost $7.
An
annual permit can be purchased for $35 and entitles you to an
unlimited number of visits to
any
and all Minnesota State Parks for 12 months after date of
purchase.
Refreshments:
Water and is available near the picnic area and parking lot.
NSTT
will offer a participant picnic throughout the day for a
donation to cover costs.

There

Ferry Rd., Sunrise, MN.
From
North Branch [I35W], drive east 7 miles to Sunrise Rd., [Co.
Rd. 9];
turn
left/north. Go to Sunrise and take Ferry Road to the right.
This
road goes to the parking lot for the Sunrise Unit of Wild
River State Park.
